It’s been a year since taking office as you Mayor. It’s been a year of highs and lows, but everyday, I find new opportunities to make this city better It’s a humbling effect when your peers trust and target their vision to parallel yours. It’s a opportunity that I could never replace in my memory.
It’s an honor to serve with the 14 members of council, city clerk, and treasurer. I like to refer to them as my dream team. Thank you all for the opportunity to serve as your Mayor and team mate. I wish you all merry Christmas and the joy of the holiday season.
We all take for granted the workers of the city that streets will be cleaned and water will flow and police will serve and protect. However theses are dedicated people and provide excellent service to us all, I want to wish them a merry Christmas.
To our senior staff, dedication is an over used word, however they also should be singled out because of the job that they do above and beyond ones expectations. Finance, administration, police utilities, development and of course our museum, its an honor to work with all for a job well done and merry Christmas to all of you.
Last but not least, fellow West Chicagoans, I wish you friendship from your neighbors, Love from your family, And a prayer for peace, God bless us all Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy new year.
