ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
To the legal voters, residents of the Town of Winfield in the County of DuPage and State of Illinois, that the Annual Town Meeting of said Town will take place on Tuesday, April 08, 2008 Being the second Tuesday of said month at the hour of 8:00 p.m. at the West Chicago City Hall located at 475 Main Street in West Chicago, Illinois, for the transaction of the miscellaneous business of the said town; and after a Moderator having been elected, will proceed to hear and consider reports of officers, and decide on such measures as may, in pursuance of law, come before the meeting; and especially to consider and decide the following:
- Town Clerk calls the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.
- Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
- Introduction of the Township Elected Officials.
- Clerk reads notice of meeting as published in the Daily Herald Newspapers.
- Clerk appoints a Parliamentarian.
- Clerk appoints Sergeant of Arms.
- Clerk conducts the nomination and election of a Moderator of the meeting.
- Clerk administers the Oath of Office to the Moderator, Moderator signs oath form and assumes duties of Moderator of the meeting.
- Discussion and approval of Minutes of the last Annual Town Meeting (April 10, 2007).
- Reading and discussion of Financial Statement.
- Report of Mark W. Malay, Township Assessor.
- Report of Joseph V. Jedlovec, Jr., Township Highway Commissioner.
- Report of Dona L. Smith, Township Supervisor.
- Other business to come before the meeting and public participation. (2 minute limit per person)
- Motion to set time and place of the next Annual Town Meeting and any Special Meeting that may be called. (April 14, 2009, second Tuesday in April, 8:00 p.m.)
- Motion to adjourn.
