District 33 Key Communicator Message - We Go Run May 4, 2008

     The race will start and finish at Community High School's Memorial Stadium on Sunday, May 4, 2008, beginning at 8:00 AM. Registration fees for the 5K walk/run and 10K run are $20.00 on or before May 2, and $25.00 after. Long-sleeved tech shirts are guaranteed for the first 250 participants. The 1-mile run is $8.00 in advance and $10.00 on race day. The Kids Dash, which begins at 9:30 AM, is free but registration is required. The medal and trophy presentation will take place at 9:45 AM.

     New this year: To promote fitness, the first 100 District 33 students to register for the 5K, 10K, or 1 mile run pay only $1.00 (tech shirt included!)

     Race day will take a "family fitness" approach offering a variety of activities to help kids be active and healthy. Finish Strong Indoor Sportsplex will provide free baseball, soccer, and lacrosse clinics. Additional free activities for kids include a moon jump, an inflatable obstacle course, outdoor bowling and mechanical pig races.

     Volunteers helping with the run include District 33 parents and teachers, the Community High School girls softball team, and local girl scout and boy scout troops. Generous sponsors include Dynamic Physical Therapy, RaceTime, Inc., FedEx Kinko's of West Chicago, Meade Electric Co, West Chicago Dental Care, Dick Pond Athletics, KinderCare of West Chicago, Cardinal Fitness, Christie Poulin State Farm, Liquid Container, John M. Yancey, DDS, Trinity Lutheran Preschool & Daycare, National City Bank, Willow Creek Community Church, DuPage, Dino Jump, Glen Ellyn Running Company, Springbrook Market, Panera Bread Company, Carnicerias Jiminez, La Chicanita Bakery, Great Harvest Bread, McDonald's of West Chicago, Bowling Green Sports Center, Delnor Hospital, Coca Cola Bottling Co, and Great American Fundraising.

     Proceeds benefit all eight District 33 schools. Registration forms are available at all eight District 33 schools, at the District Office (312 E.
