STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS

Over 950 members from 63 chapters competed in sixty competitive events ranging from public speaking, team presentations, written tests and computer production. Rebecca Cisowski of West Chicago joined the Battle of the Chapters team to bring home a first place award for our Northern Area. Community High School District #94 brought home seven top ten individual and team awards including two state championships. The first and second place students qualified for the National FBLA Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on June 26 – 29, 2008.

     The winners are as follows:

• Caitlin MacDonald of West Chicago, 1st Place, Business Procedures
• Douglas Selby of West Chicago, 2nd Place, Technology Concepts
• John Kinsella of West Chicago, 2nd Place, Computer Applications
• Diane Martinez of West Chicago, 2nd Place, Business Communication
• Ryan Crawford of Winfield, 4th Place, Economics
• Hanna Colliander, Kristen Kotche, and Hannah Taylor, all from West Chicago, 5th Place, Emerging Business Issues
• Erik Anderson of Carol Stream, 7th Place, Computer Problem Solving

     The FBLA chapter at Community High School is advised by Mia Wirth and Nancy Blume.
