ANNUAL SPRING BAND, CHOIR & ORCHESTRA CONCERTS

     The Band Concert will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, at 7:30 p.m. This concert will feature the Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensembles. Songs performed include Barnum and Baileys Favorite, O Magnum Mysterium, Call to Victory March and many others!

     The Jazz Band Concert will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Band Room. This concert will feature the high school Jazz Band and Jazz Combo. The band will be playing Spain, Satin Doll, A Night in Tunisia as well as other musical compositions.

     The Orchestra and Choir Concerts will be held on Thursday, May 29th, at 7:30 p.m. The Orchestra will be playing classical favorites and pop hits from Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles to Symphony #7 by Anton Bruckner. Concert Choir, A Capella Chamber Choir, Mixed Choir and Women’s Chorale will be performing Phantom of the Opera, Ballad of Sweeney Todd, Bohemian Rhapsody, Yellow Submarine and the Lion Sleeps Tonight among other selections. The Choirs will also combine with the Orchestra to perform Mozart’s Ave Verum.

     Steve Govertsen is the CHS Orchestra Director and Brandon Fantozzi is the CHS Choir Director. The Band, Orchestra and Choir Concerts will all be held at Community High School’s Weyrauch Memorial Auditorium at 326 Joliet in West Chicago.

     The public is invited to these performances which are being offered free of charge. Please come and enjoy the final concerts of the year!
