Education Partners, good afternoon:
- As you know by now, the Board of Education and Dr. Erwin last night
agreed to extend the K-2 classroom cap, which limits those classes to no
more than 25 kids, for one more year. The extension will have some budget
ramifications. Here is the Board of Education Meeting Synopsis with more
detail about this subject, the proposed preliminary budget, and more:

- Correction: I sent the same link twice yesterday in a note about St.
Charles North High golf coach Rob Prentiss being named one of eight
finalists for Coach of the Year honors through the National High School
Athletic Coaches Association. Here is the correct (and corrected) link about
this latest honor:

Finally, as we head toward Memorial Day weekend, please note the new
District 303 website masthead, created by webmaster and Thompson Middle School
teacher Bob Martines.
There’s a commercial running now that says we have to measure most of our
role models by a sliding scale: parents, athletes, etc. But not so those who
promise to sacrifice everything for us. They are, truly and by any measure,
heroes.
A very good thought, I say.
