Brian Youngberg Takes First Place
in Regional Drill Competition - Goes on to D.C.
Brian Youngberg, a junior at Community High School in West Chicago, competed at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton Ohio, in the CAP Great Lakes Region Drill Competition over the weekend. The Illinois team took first place, beating out several other states for the Great Lakes Region title. Youngberg, along with 16 other teammates, earned the honor of competing at the national level in Washington D. C., in July. Only 128 people through out the United States earned a slot in the national competition this year. Brian, a West Chicago resident, is the son of Theresa Gardner and Chris Youngberg.
