MARCH 2006 BUILDING REFERENDUM UPDATE

From the District 303 FAQ’s:

Question #20: Why doesn’t the district build less expensive schools?

District 303’s architects have strived to design and build schools that meet today’s education needs and are cost effective.

District 303 has already saved about $1.3 million by having the elementary and middle schools built together under one roof (see question 31). Another $5 million was saved when the Board of Education ordered district architects to “value engineer” the proposed elementary/middle school building plan.
