Self-Defense for Women will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15. Open to women of all ages, seminar registrants will learn simple and effective self-defense techniques that emphasize the natural strength of a woman’s body.

Join us for the Laughter League at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22. Let Jill League, a Certified Laughter Leader at Sherman Hospital, teach you the latest in stress-reduction therapy. Derived from yoga and supported by modern science, the Laughter Club is a place where you can go to laugh your stress away.

The West Chicago Public Library is pleased to offer Between the Lines: A Book Discussion Group. They will meet at 7:00 p.m. on March 13th when the discussion centers on For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway. This is a tale of loyalty and courage, love and defeat, in the author’s beloved Spain during the Spanish Civil War. Everyone welcome! Call the library to obtain books for discussion. The April 10th selection is Year of Wonders, a Novel of the Plague by Geraldine Brooks.
