Education Partners, good afternoon.
Lots of news to close out a very busy week:
- We’ve posted a new chart showing Projected Student Enrollments by Grade
and Planning Area on our website as part of the Attendance Area Reassignment
Project. You can get to that information from the front page of the District
303 website (www.d303.org) or right here:

- The United States Tennis Association has honored St. Charles East High
School girls tennis coach Sena Drawer for implementing a “no-cut” policy
with her team, to ensure that every student who wishes to play is welcomed
as a team member. Congratulations to Coach Drawer for this well-deserved
honor. Click here for more:

- The Gifted-Talented Resource Group of District 303 has had a tremendous
response from students and adults for its "GLIMPSE of the Future Career
Night" planned for November 28. But the group still needs more people to
represent a few additional professions. If you are interested and able (or
know someone who is) to help out with this great event for our students,
please contact GTRG member Leslie Mann at LMannJCH@aol.com.
They’re looking for people in these professions: architect;
environmentalist; surgeon; author; chef; home builder; psychologist;
veterinarian; advertising professional; computer programmer; interior
designer; musician; professional athlete; professional actor or dancer.
- Kudos to St. Charles East High School junior Dalia Jurgelenaite, who has
been selected for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars
(NSHSS). The NSHSS recognizes the top scholars in the nation and invites
only those students who have achieved superior academic excellence.
- Congratulations as well to the St. Charles North High School boys soccer
team for winning its first-ever sectional championship. The team now heads
to the super sectional game on Monday.
- Best luck to both of our high school football teams tonight as they open
the first round of Class 7A playoffs: St. Charles East at home versus
Edwardsville, and St. Charles North on the road against Moline.
Have a great weekend,
