Crafters Wanted for West Chicago's Blooming Fest

January 26, 2007: West Chicago - Crafters are wanted for West Chicago's 2007 Blooming Fest, the city's annual downtown garden festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Now in its 7th year, Blooming Fest has established itself as a signature event for the growing municipality. Last year 40 crafters enjoyed the generous turnout of people who flocked downtown to participate in the many activities the festival provided; including a 5K Run/Walk, a 2K Family Fun Run, and a wildly popular plant sale.

All types of handicrafts are sought, especially garden related items. Additionally, art in the form of photography, sculpture and jewelry are included. Vegetable and herb plants or seeds of any type are acceptable, however, due to the West Chicago Garden Club Plant Sale, no other type of potted plants or bulbs will be permitted.
