West Chicago's Gallery 200 Welcomes
the Work of Mike Bodnar
January
26, 2007: West Chicago, Illinois - The Featured Artists Series continues at
Gallery 200, West Chicago's destination for the arts, located downtown at 200
Main Street in the heart of this growing suburban community.
February's featured artist will be West Chicagoan Mike Bodnar, a retired
development engineer and inventor. A native of the Ukraine, Bodnar is a
completely self-taught folk artist, who has been painting for 16 years. He will
present a selection of his oil paintings,
depicting traditional Ukrainian scenes. The opening reception for his work will
be on Friday, February 2, 2007 from 6:00 -9:00 pm. The public is invited to
attend the free reception to meet Bodnar, view his work and sample some
wonderful Ukrainian refreshments.
