West Chicago Police Respond to Armed Robbery

January 29, 2007: West Chicago, Illinois - Officers from the West Chicago Police Department responded to a reported Armed Robbery on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at approximately 8:48 PM, at the Marathon Gas Station located at 139 W. Washington Street.

The suspect in the robbery is described a male, possibly white, approximately 5'5" tall with a thin to medium built. He was wearing a black ski type knit mask with only the eyes exposed. He was also wearing a black waist length jacket made of textile material and black pants or jeans. During the robbery the suspect displayed a black medium to large frame semiautomatic pistol and demanded cash from the register. The gas station attendant was not harmed during the robbery.

This is an active investigation and at the present time there is no further information being released. Anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to contact Detective Calabrese at (630) 293-2222.
