Kindergarten Registration
for the 2007-2008 School Year
Kindergarten registration, for children who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2007 and live within the boundaries of West Chicago Elementary School District #33, will take place during the month of April at each neighborhood elementary school.
Registration will take place between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM on the following dates:

Parents should accompany their child to school on the appropriate date with the following documents: An official copy of the child's birth certificate, proof of residency (mortgage papers, lease, utility bill, etc.), health record of immunizations (latest date for completion is the first day of school on August 29), and a fee payment of $66.00. Many payment options are available.
On the day of registration, parents will receive assistance with registration forms. Parents and children will be given a tour of the kindergarten classroom and will meet teachers. There will be an opportunity to have questions answered. Students who speak a language other than English in the home will be given an assessment of their ability to communicate in English.
Information on the District's Dual Language Program, which begins in
kindergarten, will be provided in each registration packet.
